Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated 3 October 2026
1. Who we are
Fitba the Day (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
2. What data we collect
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers and pages visited.
- Cookie and similar identifiers set by us and our advertising partners.
- Any information you voluntarily give us, such as an email address for our newsletter.
3. Google AdSense and advertising
We use Google AdSense to display adverts. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing.
You may opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. See how Google uses data from partner sites.
4. Third-party cookies
We use the following categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary — remember your cookie choice. No consent required.
- Advertising — set by Google and its partners to personalise and measure ads. Set only with your consent.
- Social media — embedded X (Twitter) timelines may set cookies when loaded. Their use is governed by X’s own privacy policy.
- Analytics — help us understand traffic in aggregate.
5. Legal basis for processing
We rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) for advertising and non-essential cookies, and on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for keeping the site secure and working. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser’s cookies and site data, which will show the consent banner again.
6. International transfers
Some partners, including Google, may process data outside the UK and EEA. Such transfers are protected by adequacy decisions, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Retention
Cookie lifetimes vary from session-only to up to 13 months. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent.
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local EU supervisory authority.
